Answer:-35%

The Total marks for which the exam conducted is =500 marks

A student secures =33% of 500 (The Total examination marks)

Fail marks = (Marks secured by the student -10marks)

So, hereby to know the pass percentage,

Marks secured by the student be x

x = 500×33%

= 500×33/100

= 5×33

x = 165marks

The student had got 165 marks , eventhough he failed by 10 marks

So, It's explicit that the pass marks are =x+10

pass marks =165+10=175

pass percentage =pass marks /total marks ×100

pass %= 175/500×100

= 175/5 = 35%

Hence , the pass percentage is 35%
