and,total marks = 900.

thus,marks obtained by student =

$900 \times 33\% = 297$

now,student fails by 45 marks.

thus,passing marks =

$297 + 45 = 342$

percentage = 342/900 × 100

= 38℅

x-45=297
x=297+45
x=342
hence,
