Pass percentage = 40 percent
Marks obtained = 93
Pass marks = marks obtained + marks by
which the candidate has failed
Therefore , pass marks = 93 + 7
= 100
If 100 marks are 40 percent
100 percent is equal to x
By cross multiplication ,
40 x = 100 x 100
X = ( 100 x 100 ) / 40
X = 250 marks
Therefore the total marks are 250 .
