Law of definite proportions is illustrated from the above data.

- Amount of oxygen in first experiment = 2.4 - 1.68 = 0.72 gm

- Ratio of iron to oxygen = 1.68 : 0.72 = 2.33 : 1

-  Amount of oxygen in second experiment = 2.9 - 2.03 = 0.87 gm

- Ratio of iron to oxygen = 2.03 : 0.87  = 2.33 : 1

- As shown above, the given data follows the Law of Definite Proportions.
