In an experiment, 200 V AC is applied at the ends of an LCR circuit. The circuit consists of an inductive reactance
(XL) = 50 ohm, capacitive reactance
(X) = 50 ohm and ohmic resistance
(R) = 10 ohm The impedance of the circuit is

Q]__?

=> Z = 10 Ω

Explanation:

Total effective resistance of LCR circuit is called impedance of the LCR series circuit It is represented by Z

Where, Z = Vo/io = √[ R^2 + ( Xʟ - Xc )^2]

Given, Vᴀᴄ = 200 V

Resistance offered by inductor:

Xʟ = 50 Ω

Resistance offered by Capacitance:

Xc = 50 Ω

R = 10 Ω

Z = ?

∴ Z = √ [ ( 10)^2 + ( 50-50^2 ) ]

Z = 10 Ω

Thus The impedance of the circuit is 10 Ω !
