In an experiment for the reduction of benzoquinone with sodium borohydride, after 0.05g of NaBH4 you note the solution remains yellow. You continue to add increments of 0.05 g NaBH4. The yellow color remains even after the addition of 0.10 g of extra NaBH4. What is a possible cause for this since the reduction of a quinone usually has a color change during the reaction? Suggest a possible solution.
