In an experiment, Mr. John dissected a large potato tubes into several small pieces & then placed each piece in a separate pot for germination. After few days, he observed that a few pieces germinated & developed new-plants. The others did not germinate at all. Give possible reasons

this is because sometime when the eye of the potato is placed in a pot the it will grow but if any other part of potato is sown then it will not grow.Eye is the reproductive part of potato.
