Glucose, fructose and sucrose are all carbohydrate products of photosynthesis and cannot be detected through iodine test

IODINE TEST IS used FOR  the STARCH detection

Why is starch tested for and not glucose?

starch is tested not glucose because plant convert glucose into starch reason is that glucose has high affinity of water and it can disturb the water balance of plants.
