In an experimental demonstration, a marble and a feather were being dropped from the same height at the same time. It was found that the marble hit the ground faster than the feather. What could have caused such difference?

Its too simple to understand that the feather weight is distributed throughout and its surface is big hence it will experience more air resistance
but in case of marble the weight is more concentrated in comparison to feather and the atoms are strongly connected to each other
so it will experience less air resistance or it will beat more air resistance and will hit the ground faster
