Step-by-step explanation:

Let no. of passengers in AC , first class and second class be x ,2x and 7x respectively.

Let cost of Ac ,first class and second class be 5y ,4y and 2y.

total income from AC =x *5y = 5xy

total income of first class=8xy

total income of second class =14xy

total income of railway = 54000

so ATQ 5xy +8xy+14xy=54000

27xy =54000

xy =2000

so income from Ac class =5 xy =5*2000 = 10000
