In an hydraulic lift the input piston had surface area 30 cm2 and the output piston has surface area of 1500 cm2. If a force of 25 N is applied to the input piston calculate weight on output piston.

 F₁/A₁=F₂/A₂

25/30=F/1500

       F=25×1500/30

         =25×50

         =1250N

Answer:

1250N

Explanation:

This question is based on pascal's Law.

So By Pascal's Law

 \frac{f_{1} }{f_{2} } = \frac{a_{1} }{a_{2} }

therefore f_{1} =force on input piston =25N

                  f_{2} = Force or weight on output person.

therefore after putting the values we get,

f_{2} = (25x 1500)/30

     =1250N
