Total number of candidates = 6

Total Phds= 6, Total Mbas= 2

Probability of selecting 2 candidates out of 4  Phds=\frac{_{2}^{4}\textrm{C}}{_{2}^{6}\textrm{C}}

Probability of selecting 2 candidates out of 2 mbas= \frac{_{2}^{2}\textrm{C}}{_{2}^{6}\textrm{C}}

Probability that both will be mbas = \frac{_{2}^{2}\textrm{C}}{_{2}^{6}\textrm{C}}=\frac{1}{15} , as _{2}^{2}\textrm{C}=\frac{2!}{2!\times 0!}= 1 and _{2}^{6}\textrm{C}=\frac{6!}{4!\times2!} =\frac{6\times5\times4!}{4!\times2}= 15
