Reason - In any interview, interviewer always want to know how honest you are....So that it will be helpful for him or for his job.
If you pretend that you know the answer and will take a long break it will be a bad impression. So I suggest you to be honest and tell him that you don't know and say sorry to him respecfully.
But sometimes it helps, but it happens in very rare cases, so it is convenient to admit that, if you want to secure your job.....
