In an isosceles Triangle ,
P=B
Using Pythagoras theorem,

(H)^2 = (P)^2+(B)^2
here H = 8

Let P=B=a

(8)^2= (a)^2+(a)^2
(8)^2= 2a^2
64 =2 a^2
64/2= 2a^2
a^2 = 32
a=√32 =5.6 cm

then,
P=5.6 cm
B=5.6 cm

 {8cm}^{2}  =  {a}^{2}  +  {a}^{2}   \\ 64cm = 2 {a}^{2}  \\  \sqrt{64} cm = 2a \\ 8cm = 2a \\  \binom{8}{2}cm  = a \\ 4cm = a \\
