AB = AC (Given)....i

AX= 1/2 AB (X is midpoint of AB)....ii

YC = 1/AC( Y is midpoint of AC).....iii

AB = AC

Multiply both sides by 1/2

1/2AB = 1/2 AC

AX = YC Using ii and iii

AX/YC = 1
