By Pythagoras theorem

  {ab}^{2}  =  {ac}^{2} +  {bc}^{2}

 {ab}^{2}  =  {ac}^{2}  +  {ac}^{2}

 {ab}^{2}  = 2. {ac}^{2}

ac = bc
