Let a line bisect angle A and intersect BC at D.

In triangles ABD & ACD,

AB=AC.......given

AD =AD .....common

angle BAD = angle CAD.....angle bisector

Therefore by SAS ,they are congruent.

Therefore angles BDA=CDA.=90 degree .

and BD=CD ....by corresponding parts of congruent triangles.
