In an isosceles triangle, the base angle are equal. The vertex angle is 5/2 times of either base angle angle . What are the angle of the triangle?

Answer:

Let, the base angles be X+X=2x

therefore, the vertex angle=5/2×x=5x/2

Now,

5x/2 +2x=180°. [Since, sum of all the

angles of a triangle

is180°]

5x/2 +4x/2=180

9x/2=180

9x=180×2

9x=360

x=360/9=40°

Therefore,the angles are—

1. X=40°

2.X=40°

3.5/2×x=5/2×40=5×20 =100°
