Let the base angles be x

Then,x+x+40°=180°

2x+40°=180°

2x=180°-140°

x=70°

The base angles of the triangle are 70° and 70°

-Hope it helps

Thanks♡

Answer:

70°

Step-by-step explanation:

let angles be A , B , C

A be vertex and B and C be base

B = C

A = 40°

A+B+C = 180°

40+2B = 180° (B = C)

2B = 180-40

B = 140/2

B = 70°
