We have to write the statement in If-Then form. This is also known as a Conditional Statement.

In a statement of the type "If p then q", p is known as the Hypothesis and q is known as the Conclusion.

This simply means that when p will happen (i.e. p is true) then q will also happen (i.e. q will also be true)

Here, our original statement is "In an isosceles triangle, the segment joining the vertex and the mid point of the base is perpendicular to the base."

We need to identify the Hypothesis and Conclusion Parts.

Moreover, which part of the sentence will be true based on the validity of which other part of the sentence.

Here, we can easily see the the following.

Hypothesis - The Triangle Isosceles

Conclusion - The
egment joining the vertex and the mid point of the base is perpendicular to the base..

Thus, the Conclusion is true, only when the triangle is isosceles.

So, the If-Then form of the statement is:

If the triangle is isosceles, then the segment joining the vertex and the mid point  of the base is perpendicular to the base.
