Answer:

Let the size of an isosceles triangle be x .

Third side = x + 8 cm

First and Second side = x

Acc. to question

x + x + x + 8 = 17 cm

3 x = 9 cm

x = 3 cm

first side = 3 cm

Second side = 3 cm

Third side = 11 cm

Plz mark me the brainiest .

Thanks .

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let the same sides be x

and the side more than 8 is x+8

then,

perimeter, sum of its all sides= 17cm

                                  x + x +x+ 8= 17

                                     3x + 8= 17

                                            3x=17-8

                                           x= 9/3

                                           x= 3cm

hence the first two sides of isosceles triangle are 3cm each and the third side is 3+8=11cm.
