In an isosceles triangle the vertex angle is half base angle take the base angle b m in degree and remember sum of the angles of a triangle is 180 degrees

Answer:

given that, above triangle is an isoscelus triangle

with same base angles

let, vertex angle=a

base angles=b

also ,

vertex angle is half of the base angles

i.e.

a=1/2 *b

2a=b

but, as we know that triangles are suplimentary in measure(180°)

.'. a+b+b=180°

a+2b=180°

a+2(2a)=180°

5a=180°

a=36°

but

b=2a

b=2×36°

b=72°

Therefore, measure of vertex angle is 36°

and measure of base angles are 72° in the given isosceles triangle
