Given:

Students who have opted for the Marketing program = 84

Students who have opted for the Finance program = 108

Students who have opted for the HR program = 192

To find:

How many rooms are required to meet the  above mentioned conditions?

Solution:

First find the HCF of 84, 108, and 192

84 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 7

108 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 3

192 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3

HCF = 2 × 2 × 3 = 12

So, the number of students in each class is 12

Number of rooms for Marketing program = 84 / 12 = 7

Number of rooms for Finance program = 108 / 12 = 9

Number of rooms for HR program = 192 / 12 = 16

So, total number of rooms = 7 + 9 + 16 = 32

Therefore, 32 rooms are required.
