Let the number of total trees in the orchard = xNumber of guava trees = x3Number of banana trees = x8Number of mango trees = x − (x3 + x8)=x − (8x+3x24)=x − 11x24=24x − 11x24=13x24But number of mango trees in the orchard = 117So, 13x24 = 117⇒x = 117 × 2413 = 216So, total number of trees in the orchard = 216
