hi

let the total tress be x

 1/3 of the Trees are guava trees 1/8 are banana trees and the rest are mango trees

guava = 1x/3

banana = 1x/8

there are 117 mango trees

so lets form an euqtaion

x = 1x/3 + 1x/8 + 117

x = 8x + 3x/24 + 117

x = 11x/24 +117

x - 11x/24 = 117

13x/24 = 117

x = 117*24/13

x = 9*24

x = 216

so totally there are 216 tress

hope it helps u

:)

let the total number of trees in the orchard be x..
fraction of mango trees in the orchard
=1-(1/3+1/8)
=1-(11/24)
=13/24
so no. of mango trees in the orchard
=>(13/24)×x=117
=>x=(117×24)/13=9×24=216
