Banana trees are 148 in number,

To find :

The total number of trees in the orchard = ?

Solution :

Let the number of trees be ‘x’.

According to the question,

= \frac {x}{5} + \frac{3x}{13} + 148

Taking LCM of 65

= \frac {13x+15x+9620}{65}

= 65x \: = \: 28x \: + \: 9620

= 65x \: - \: 28x \: = 960

= 37x \: = \: 9620

\Rightarrow x \: = \: 260

•°• There are 260 trees in or orchard.
