Ex: C2H6 is a gas in nature

C6H12: is a liquid

Both C2H6 and C6H12 differ in state, boling point.

And Chemical properties depends up on the functional group present in the molecule.

Ex: Alcohols(R-OH) are differ in chemical properties from carboxylic acids (R-COOH) in reaction with Sodium hydroxide.

Alcohols contains hyxdroxy functional group (-OH) where as carboxylic acids contains acid functional group (-COOH). Thus presence of different functional makes differ in the chemical properties.
