if any organ got damaged the whole body will suffer...every organ is given different work
if heart is damaged then blood supply to other organs will be affected and similarly if brain is affected then also whole body will be affected...similarly function of GIT is to digest food and to provide nutrients to blood so that it will get distributed to whole body and all organs of body hence the statement is justified
