Dear friend,

The Govt organizations will have pay scales and fixed increments, no performance based revisions but in the private companies it is totally performance based process.

In Govt the promotions also time bound. The Ovt., Public limited companies are in to totally a competitive field and you may not be able to meet the market requirement if you don't implement performance linked pay system & even performance linked incentives / bonus, amenities, perks etc.,

Thanks and regards -kamesh

Answer:

To reach the maximum level the person needs 25 years of service.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Pay scale means a fixed decided salary for all the employs who works for same post.
  • The pay - scale given for the post is 5500 -100- 8000. It means the amount of salary will be paid at the time of joining is 5500.

The increment generally occurs per year, the increment amount = 100 per year.

The maximum salary can be = 8000

  • To reach the maximum amount, the salary should be increased by 8000 - 5500 = 2500

100 unit price can be increased in 1 year.

         2500 can be reached in 1 × \frac{2500}{100} = 25 years.

∴ To reach the maximum level the person needs 25 years of service.
