⇒            2x/3 = y     .......(1)

Now According to second condition

   1/9 of y = y/9 = women

We are given

   Men = 240      ......(3)

Comparing equation (2) and (3) we get

   8y/9 = 240

⇒    8y = 240 × 9

⇒    8y =  2160

⇒      y = 2160/8

⇒      y = 270

So

Total software professional = 270

Putting the value of y = 270 in the equation (1) we get

   2x/3 = 270

      2x = 270 × 3 = 810

⇒    2x = 810

⇒      x = 810/2

⇒      x = 405

Thus

Total number of employees in the organization are 405
