1 The Ashwamedha Yaga or the horse sacrifice was a major ritual in ancient India .In this sacrifice ,a horse wa let loose and wandered into their kingdom.If a king of another kingdom stops the horse, the king whi set the horse free wages a war against him

2 But if the horse passes through a kingdom unharmed ,the kingdom becomes a laudatory (official part) of the parent kingdom.

3) The raja who organised this kind of sacrifice was considered very powerful, and had a special seat such as a throne or tiger skin

4) His relatives, and wives performed minor sacrifices and the other rajas were mere spectators .

5) Priest perform the ceremony and ordinary people called vaishya brought gifts ,in this ceremony
