Transport in Ancient times was concentrated around Carts and it was not greatly distinctive in India.

But the operation of road transport was really manifested very early in Antique Indian civilizations as ancient as Mohenjodaro,  which was received as evidence from cave murals on the walls of unearthed sites.

The chariots was also used by Royal families and also acts as the symbol of royalty. They were embellished with gemstones and decorated fabulously. Citizens however used bullock and ox carts and were in most part foot-traveler.
