\setlength{\unitlength}{1 cm}\begin{picture}(0,0)\thicklines\qbezier(1, 0)(1,0)(3,3)\qbezier(5,0)(5,0)(3,3)\qbezier(5,0)(1,0)(1,0)\put(2.85,3.2){$\sf P$}\put(0.5,-0.3){$\sf Q$}\put(5.2,-0.3){$\sf R$}\put(2.5, - 0.5){\sf 4 cm}\put(3.9,2){\sf 5 cm}\end{picture}

Given:-

  • ∠R = ∠P
  • QR = 4cm
  • PR = 5cm

To Find:-

  • Length of PQ

Solution :-

In triangle PQR,

Given that ∠R = ∠P

Therefore, PQ = QR...... [∵sides opposite to equal angles are equal]

So, PQ is equal to 4cm.

More to know:-

• The sum of three interior angles of a triangle will always measure upto 180°.

• The sum of the length of two sides of a triangle will always greater than the other third side of triangle.

• Angles opposite to equal sides are always equal.
