Answer:

putting n=1

we get an= 8+12=20

again putting n=2

we get 8×2 +12= 28

similarly n=3

an= 24+12= 36

hence in the AP a=20 and d=8

so a12 = a+(n-1)d

= 20+ 11× 8

= 20 + 88

= 108 (answer)

Answer:

a _{n} = 8n + 12 \\ then... \\ a _{12} = 8 \times 12 + 12 \\ a _{12} = 96 + 12 \\ a _{12} = 108
