yes there is but it's technically not a poison (a protective and deadly substance) but instead it is a toxin ( a secondary metabolite.) the toxin is known as cyanide and is present on the seed coat. Thus if we cook the seeds or roast them then the seed coat disappears and the seeds are safe to eat.
