PQR is a triangle. ST is parallel to QR

By basic proportionality theorem in ΔPQR

PSPQ=PTPR

By componendo and dividendo

PSPQ=PTPR⇒PQ−PSPQ+PS=PR−PTPR+PT

SQPQ+PS=TRPR+PT

RT(PQ+PS)=SQ(PR+PT)
