Step-by-step explanation:

Maths

The hypotenuse of a right angled triangle is 2 centimeters more than the longer of the side containing the right angle. The shorter of the side containing the right angle is 7 centimeters less than the longer side containing the right angle. Find the length of the hypotenuse.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

In aright triangle base is 2 cm more than height and hypotenuse is 2 cm more than height ,find all three sides of the triangle?

In the question , Hypotenuse and base are of equal lengths .but it is not possible in the triangle. Because the height will be 0 cm.

But side cannot be equal to zero (0,2,2)

(Let the height of a right triangle be

X cm

Base=height+2=(X+2) cm

Hypotenuse=height+2=(X+2)cm

By Pythagoras theorem

(x+2)²=+(x+2)²

=>(x+2)²-(X+2)²=

=>0=

=>x=0

Height=0 cm)
