A private key is a tiny bit of code that is paired with a public key to set off algorithms for text encryption and decryption. It is created as part of public key cryptography during asymmetric-key encryption and used to decrypt and transform a message to a readable format. A private key is also known as a secret key.

Asymmetric key cryptography is also called public key cryptography. This key uses as public and private keys for encrypt and decrypt datas. The keys have many numbers. The numbers are very large. So it is related with each other. So theys are paired together but not identical. One key is used to share with everyone which is called public key and other key uses as secret which is known as private key.
