number of e- equals number of p+ equals the atomic number or z

so,

e= 13

number of neutron= a-z

= 27-13

=14

Atomic no., Z = 13

and Mass no. , a = 27

Hence no. of electrons =  13

and,     no. of neutrons = 27 - 13 = 14
