Let the two-digit be 10x + y

The sum of the digits = 8
therefore x + y = 8 (Equation-1)

If 18 is added to the number, the digits are interchanged.
Therefore
10x + y + 18 = 10y + x
10x + y - 10y - x = - 18
9x - 9y = - 18
Taking 9 as common
x - y = - 2 (Equation - 2)

Adding equation 1 and 2
x + y =8
x - y = -2

2x = 6
x = 3

x + y = 8 ⇒ y = 5

The number is 10x+y = 10*3+5 = 35
