In B.3 you read an eye-witness account of a robbery. On the basis of your reading of the Birlstone tragedy, in about 125 words, write Dr Wood's account of the discovery of John Douglas's body.

Eye-witness on account of robbery and discovery of John Douglas's body:

Mr Barker called and informed me about the death of Mr Douglas in Manor house. Therefore, I rushed to the scene. Douglas laid there in the mantelpiece with terrible marks all over his body. There were only two members in Douglas's family, Mr Douglas and his wife.

Mr Barker said that the drawbridge was raised up after 6'o clock like any other day. He also said that the door and the diamond-paned windows were open. Since there were only Mr Barker, Mrs Douglas and servants in the house during the murder, I think everyone should be investigated fairly.
