Bentham and Hooker proposed a theory of botanical taxonomy which was published as “Genera Plantarum” between 1862 and 1883.

In their theory, they divided the angiospermae into two classes, dicotyledons and monocotyledons.

Dicotyledans was further subdivided into three classes, polypetalae, gamopetalae and monochlamydeae.

These classes are further divided into series which is again divided into order or cohort and cohort into family.

Thus the answer to the question is (b) cohorts.
