In binary fission when the DNA is duplicated it begins to separate, moving towards the poles as cell elongates . So where the poles are situated and what is the function of poles.

The two origins move towards opposite ends of the cell, pulling the rest of the chromosomes along with them. the cell also gets longer adding to the separation of the newly forming chromosomes
