Answer:The females in birds are heterozygous and have ZW chromosomes and the males are homozygous and have ZZ chromosomes. When any of the traits is expressed as a sex-linked recessive trait it will expresee itself in the heterozygous condition only because there is a single allele which will show.

The recessive traits will expressed in males only when both the ZZ chromosome wil have cinnamon gene.
