•OK, so the reason is that : In block and tackle system of pulleys, the mechanical advantage is calculated using formula -
now, let n = 1 , then M.A (1) = 2^1 = 2.
now, let n = 2 , then M.A (2) = 2^2 = 4.
conclusion - M.A(2) > M.A(1) , showing that with more number of pulleys ie greater value of n , provides increase in mechanical advantage is more M.A.
