When electron goes from lower orbit to higher orbit , it absorbs energy.

E = R × Z² (1/n1² - 1/n2²)

E : Energy

R : Rydberg Constant

Z : Atomic number of the Element

n1 : initial orbit (lower)

n2 : final orbit (higher)
