Razia Sultan

• Razia was the daughter of the Sultan Shamsuddin Iltutmish .
• She was a brave and intelligent ruler .
• She used to wear a man's tunic and head dress and even let the army battle
• She cared deeply for her subjects whose welfare was her primary concern
• She emerged victorious in many Revolt against the nobles
• However, when governors revolted she was defeated and imprisoned.
• She tried who win Altunia, the governor of Bhatinda, through marriage alliances.
• But both of them were defeated and killed in 1240 CE
