The people of Sahara desert rear livestock such as goats, sheep, camels, and horses. They also sell things made from animal skin such as slippers, water bottles and leather belts. Animal hair is used for making mats, carpets, clothes and blankets. In oasis, people grow date palms and crops like wheat, barley and beans. In the Western part of Sahara, fishing and phosphate mining are the principal source of income
