In case of a fire , before the firemen use the water hoses,they shut off the main electrical supply for the area.Explain why they do this.

because the water is the good conductor of electricity. If the fireman use the water hoses then the electricity mai flow with the water.

due to avoiding the short circuit because when the water come in the contact of electricity then there will be a short circuit in the house so to avid this they switch of the main electrical supply
