in cbse there was a question that show that square of any integer is of the form 3q ,3q+1. for 3 marks but instead of q I have used m as the variable .How many marks would be deducted. Whole procedure is correct.??​

there's a little chance of marks deduction according to me not more than one mark should be deducted

During evaluation this mistake can be overlooked as it is only a minor mistake and does not show that the person doesn't know the concept.

Even if marks are cut they will cut only 1 mark or so.
